Nearly 2,500 community members increased their environmental awareness through activities aimed at supporting seabird conservation in the transboundary Grenadines.
Invasive species are purposefully or accidentally introduced to areas beyond their native ranges, where they establish and become harmful to the local environment.
EPIC is committed to teaching younger generations about biodiversity issues in the Grenadines archipelago, especially seabirds and their role in the marine ecosystem.
Since 2016, EPIC has trained members of the Grenadines Seabird Guardians to monitor and protect remote islands where globally important populations of seabirds nest.
EPIC conducted and published the first regional assessment of seabird populations for the Lesser Antilles covering 3,162 nautical miles and over 200 islands.
A great way to fight litter is to create something beautiful out of it! Artists did just that during our Waste to Art competition held under the theme “Amazing Seabirds.”
