Seas & Scenes: Love the Caribbean Photo Contest 2025 is a region-wide celebration of the places, people, wildlife, and cultural spirit that make the Caribbean extraordinary. Hosted by EPIC in partnership with Caribbean Compass magazine, the contest invited photographers of all backgrounds — residents, visitors, sailors, students, and nature lovers — to share their vision of what makes the Caribbean worth protecting.
Across August 2025, the contest received 315 photo submissions representing 31 islands and territories, along with 2,824 audience votes from around the globe. Images captured everything from soaring frigatebirds and hidden mangroves to coral reefs, village life, island adventures, and quiet moments that define life in the Caribbean.
Entries were judged across three categories — Sailing & Yachting Adventures, Caribbean Nature & the People Who Love It, and the global-vote-driven Audience Choice Award. The result is a vibrant collection of stories and perspectives that showcase not just beauty, but connection: to place, to environment, and to community.
The contest supports EPIC’s mission to inspire environmental stewardship through art, storytelling, and public engagement. Many of the winning images are featured in EPIC and Caribbean Compass magazine’s communications, helping raise awareness and celebrate the Caribbean environment we are committed to protecting.
This project is more than a contest. It is a love letter to the islands — a reminder of why conservation matters and a celebration of the creativity and passion that live across the Caribbean.
