Honoring the Founders Who Built EPIC

Behind every project, partnership, and milestone is a story that started it all. Since its founding in 2000, EPIC has spent over two decades working across the Caribbean to protect ecosystems, support communities, and take on environmental challenges that often go unaddressed.

This year, EPIC recognizes the founders Natalia Collier and Adam Brown as they step back from their day-to-day roles as Program Directors, while continuing their involvement as Board members and advisors. The Program Director role continues under Dr. Simone Lewis, ensuring EPIC’s work remains active and ongoing. Their vision, on-the-ground research, and industriousness shaped the organization into what it is today.

From the beginning, their work was never just about conservation. It was about building something lasting - creating opportunities, supporting communities, and tackling environmental challenges that others overlooked.

Through their leadership:

  • Conservation programs expanded across multiple islands
  • Critical habitats were protected and restored
  • Jobs and partnerships were created across the region
  • EPIC grew into a trusted, results-driven organization

Their impact isn’t measured in one project or one place - it’s a legacy that continues through every project EPIC carries forward.
