Helping the community to have access to and enjoy nature, while also learning about its value and beauty, has been a hallmark of EPIC programs for more than 20 years in Sint Maarten/Saint Martin. Current activities include free monthly guided hikes, and over the years activities have included free public bird walks, library presentations for Migratory Bird Day and Caribbean Endemic Bird Festival, kayak tours through Simpson Bay Lagoon on World Wetlands day, tabling at the Heineken Regatta, and participation in many events, project, and programs.

Sponsors include Tourism Cares, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, IUCN, St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association, and donors.
