Rueben Thompson

Rueben J. Thompson is an Environmentalist by profession and has been back home on St. Maarten, advocating for Sustainable Development, lobbying for the protection of Sint Maarten’s Natural and Cultural Heritage and managing Environmental Education Programs since 2005. Rueben was the project manager for EPIC’s Love the Lagoon Project, a founding board member of the Emilio Wilson Estate Foundation (EWEF), and the former Vice-President of the Sint Maarten Pride Foundation. In addition, Rueben served as Director of the Environment on the board of the Sint Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association (SHTA) from 2008 to 2014. He is currently the Treasurer for the EPIC Sint Maarten foundation Board of Directors and was instrumental in the creation of the EPIC Foundation on Sint Maarten.
