Reese Yount

Reese Yount

Public Relations Manager
Staff & Contractor

Reese Yount is a communications and conservation professional with a passion for using storytelling to inspire environmental action. Originally from North Carolina, Reese holds a Master of Professional Science (MPS) degree in Exploration Science from the University of Miami and has a background in archaeology, environmental science, and public engagement.

Reese began working with EPIC in 2024, initially serving as Communication Coordinator and later as Social Media Manager and PR Support. In these roles, he led social media strategy, newsletter campaigns, and digital outreach initiatives that significantly boosted engagement and visibility. Now, as EPIC’s Public Relations Manager, Reese helps lead communications for the Clean Coasts initiative, a U.S. EPA-funded program aimed at reducing pollution and single-use plastics in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He develops public relations strategies, creates environmental campaigns, and supports community outreach and partner coordination.

Reese is deeply committed to promoting conservation throughout the Caribbean and believes that combining clear communication with scientific insight is one of the most powerful tools for change. When he’s not working, Reese enjoys exploring coastal ecosystems, reading philosophy, and working on creative writing projects.
