Dr. William Mackin studied seabird conservation and Behavior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a professor of Biology at Elon University and Guilford College, and he continues to do field research in the Bahamas whenever possible. He has published dozens of papers on Caribbean Seabird biology and is an expert on Seabird colonies in the Caribbean. From 2011-2013, William was the lead consultant on a project that removed invasive house mice from Allen Cay, an important seabird colony in the Bahamas. William currently manages operations at Landscape Logic, a full-service landscaping company in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and does consulting for landscape restoration and conservation projects. He has served on the board of Environmental Protection in the Caribbean since 2012.
