Photo Description: 1998, I was invited to crew on Hope McLawrence's traditional Carriacou-built work sloop, Imagine. The Around Island Race was the integral part of the August festivities. Winning would asure rum shop bragging rights for the following year. The sloop had seen better days with an auto tire as a boom gasket and a well-used Moorings mainsail. Hope's superior sailing knowledge made the difference. We won the race by half a mile. Reminiscing of my 37 years in the Carribbean, this was one of my ten greatest days.
