Photo Description: To Grenadians, the nutmeg is more than just a crop grown, sold, used & exported from Grenada, it's really a symbol of the nation, of who we are. I wanted to capture our nutmeg in a unique way, that all Grenadians at home & abroad could appreciate. After coming from an early morning hike in the mountainous St. Andrew parish I picked a few nutmeg & upon returning home I had an idea to capture not only the freshly picked nutmeg but to contrast them with older nutmeg I'd randomly picked about a week prior on another hike. I think that it symbolizes the cycle of life in a way, what's older is now making way for something new. This picture of the nutmeg, which is affixed on our nation's flag, to me represents my love for my country & my contribution to my nation
