Nature at Work | By - Jaida Victor

Photo Description: Simply strolling along a trail, I came across a type of spider which I had never seen before. At first, fear kept me at a distance but the beauty of the creature and its web which was stretched against the blossoms and leaves in the background, pulled me in and would not let me leave without having a photo. The spider and its web were like a masterpiece, painted on the living canvas the plants arranged for them. In the Caribbean, beauty isn't staged; it's created naturally every day even by the smallest or most feared creatures. That day, the spider gave me more than just a photograph- it gave me courage. I didn't let fear hold me back from revelling in nature's beauty. Everyday since, whenever I get the chance, I take a moment to admire these amazing organisms and the hard work they put into crafting and sustaining our natural environment.
